Styling & Location
We discuss styling & location for the shoot. I will send over a styling service link to help style the entire family from head to toe. I also offer a client closet full of high quality dresses to choose from

Time of the shoot
We discuss & decide on a time of the shoot. My sessions are either at sunrise or sunset. That is when the lighting is perfect, golden and dreamy.

The Session
I want the session to be a beautiful experience. I will guide you in poses that are rooted in movement and authenticity in order to get fun candid moments between you and your loves ones. I make sure that my sessions are comfortable and fun.
Delivery
After the photo session you will receive your digital images in an online gallery where you can view download or share your images with friends and family.

Where does the shoot take place?
Outdoor sessions will take place at a location within the Austin area that we choose together during the planning process. It depends on what vibe you are looking for… hill country, creek, urban, etc. Newborn sessions take place outdoors, in home or in a natural light studio located in South Austin area. (rental fee included in package).
All outdoor sessions are shot during Golden Hour which is the hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset. The lighting is soft and dreaming! It compliments just about everyone and everything in its path! Timing changes depending on the time of year as well as location.
Studio sessions typically take place mid morning.
What time will the shoot be?
Yes, all sessions require a $150 non-refundable retainer and a signed contract in order to hold your date and session time. The remaining balance is due a week before the shoot. Contract and invoices will be signed and paid electronically
Is there a retainer fee in order to book?
Your images will be delivered via an online gallery where you will be able to download high-resolution images meant for printing along with web-sized images which are perfect for sharing on social media.
How will I receive my images?
You will receive your images within 3 weeks of your session. During my busy season it will be closer to 3 weeks and during off season it could be a week! If for any reason it takes more than 3 weeks I will let you know.
What is your turn around time?
Gahhhhhh!!!!!! Charley Captured the true essence of our family, in all our silliness and sassiness. We’ve had family photos taken before, but never have I felt so darn comfortable.
Charley just puts out chill, easy vibes that invite natural personalities. Each of us showed up on camera, exactly as we are off camera (albeit with a little extra makeup). Speaking of which - she was there to provide resources on outfits and suggestions for great locations. The kids both bickered, whined, hugged too hard, and loved equally so. The hand holds and gazes of adoration were real. The girlie twirls were my daughters dream, and every moment captured will be treasured forever. Charley is an artist. Without posing us or making us feel staged and weird, she somehow managed to bottle up these incredible moments of familial beauty and perfectly composed shots.
Looks like I'll be Chasing Chaney every year for a slot on her increasingly popular calendar!

This experience wasn’t like any other photo session. She reached out to me for outfit ideas, sent me color schemes, shoes and accessories. She also picked a great location and had multiple spots for me to choose from!!! I could not believe how patient and kind she was with us. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Charley!! I was unable to do fresh 48 photos & newborn photos due to COVID, so it was very important to me to have some taken around my daughters 6 month birthday. With it being the only professional photos I was able to have done at this point, there was a lot of self induced pressure for them to be perfect.
Charley made the whole process a breeze. From providing sites for outfit coordination, to feeling out our vibe for a location and giving us different options to choose from, and even allowing a flexible time schedule accommodating our little one, it made all the pressure and stress I put into this project melt away. She went above and beyond to keep our daughter engaged & happy through the entire shoot, not a single tear was shed! The end result from all of Charley’s help planning the shoot, and her God given talent, were stunning pictures that I will forever treasure.
